When should we request or book a wedding photographer?
We recommend that you request the photographer of your choice early, as popular dates (especially in the summer months) are often booked many months in advance. On weekdays or between October and April, short-term appointments are often possible. We will be happy to check whether your desired date is still available - we look forward to hearing from you. For weddings abroad, an early request is even more important, as this usually involves several days of travel for us.
Why is a preliminary talk important?
For perfect wedding photos, the chemistry between the bridal couple and the wedding photographer must be right. The wedding photographer will accompany you throughout the day and, depending on the situation, will gain insight into very private moments. The wedding photographer is part of your wedding, even if he naturally stays in the background. In a personal conversation you will quickly find out whether sympathies are present and whether it fits interpersonally. Also open questions can be asked and wishes communicated to the photographer. It is important to us that we achieve the best possible result for you, and for this a preliminary conversation is essential in our opinion.
When is the best time for bridal photos?
The best time for wedding pictures is when the light is at its best. This is in the evening about an hour before sunset. However, it is often not possible to do a full bride and groom shoot in the evening due to time constraints. Therefore, we often divide the bride and groom shoot into two partial shoots. The first session we recommend, for example, before the wedding ceremony, because then there is enough time for the main images. The second session then lasts only a few minutes and is done in the evening before sunset to capture the beautiful mood and shoot perfect bridal couple photos. However, the exact timing is very individual and can of course be adapted to your wishes and the schedule of the wedding.
Are you as wedding photographers only in Basel and region on the road or can you be booked for the whole of Switzerland?
We are flexible and document your wedding at your dream destination - whether Basel, Ticino, Sardinia or Portugal. Of course, depending on the destination, there will be additional costs for travel, accommodation and catering. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
How many wedding photos will we receive and will they be edited?
Per hour you can expect something like 50-80 edited and optimized wedding photos. Of course, we will take many more shots, but we will make a rough selection of the shots. We edit all wedding photos and optimize color, brightness and retouch small "problems". However, it is important to us that the photos remain natural and genuine. Here, too, we can respond to individual wishes.
What if the camera fails?
You don't have to worry about that. We always have a spare of our most important work equipment with us - batteries, memory cards, lenses. We usually shoot with several cameras and lenses to be flexible and ready for any situation. A professional way of working is important to us, so it goes without saying that we are also prepared for technical incidents.
How do you dress for our wedding?
Our goal is to be as inconspicuous as possible and to be perceived as part of the wedding party. We dress accordingly. No shorts, no t-shirt and no bathing shoes - unless you are walking around like that. You are welcome to let us know the dress code of your wedding and we will adapt accordingly.
How do we get our wedding photos? Is there an online gallery with the wedding photos for the guests?
The edited wedding photos are usually given via password-protected online gallery, which you can share with your wedding guests. So everyone can download the wedding photos they want.
When do we receive the wedding photos or the wedding video?
After the wedding, the most time-consuming part starts for us. We sort out the wedding photos and edit the selected photos. We strive to edit the wedding photos and/or wedding video as soon as possible. Our goal is to deliver the wedding photos to you after four weeks at the latest. If you have chosen a photo album, the time to delivery may take a little longer, because we rely on external partners.
Do we also get the sorted out wedding photos?
Since we don't want unedited wedding photos of ours to show up, we only hand over the selected and edited wedding photos in JPG format.
Will our wedding photos be shown on your website?
We would be happy to put a small selection of your wedding photos on our website to showcase our current work to future wedding couples.
